gaju is so cute i'm going to die

[personal profile] thecost 2017-06-28 08:39 pm (UTC)(link)
i'm all right.

thank you for asking. how are you doing? i know it's a lot to get used to, here.
ballroombro: (y)

don't die what if you come back as a zombie

[personal profile] ballroombro 2017-06-29 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
uhhh

well it's a lot to get used to but the thing is I'm alive so I guess I can't complain too much

I'm kinda surprised though. like I thought if the world got taken out by zombies things would be way more harsh. instead it turns out you guys still have school. so I guess things aren't that bad

in here, anyway
thecost: (you're a sharp dressed man)

what if i already am one

[personal profile] thecost 2017-06-29 02:03 am (UTC)(link)
Well, being alive is certainly a start.

Things were worse for a while, I'll admit. They're getting better now though. You've come at a good time, comparatively.

Outside is far worse though, you're right.
ballroombro: (ab)

it's coming from inside the house

[personal profile] ballroombro 2017-06-29 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
so um

you guys aren't it, right? don't suppose you'd know how they're doing over in japan?
I'm from gunma
thecost: (been gettin' big)

[personal profile] thecost 2017-06-29 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
we're not it. it's hard to tell where settlements are but i know we're not the only ones.

as for japan... i'm from osaka. last i heard there were still scattered holdouts. kyoto, osaka, tokyo, gunma, mito, fukuoka. probably more.

[personal profile] ballroombro 2017-06-29 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
that's a relief

osaka huh... I always kinda wanted to go to kaiyuukan but I guess I can't now

although I guess this means I'm finally gonna study abroad

[ yay? ]

did you go to med school here?
thecost: (you're a sharp dressed man)

[personal profile] thecost 2017-07-01 07:27 am (UTC)(link)
i used to go. it was nice. sometimes i wonder what happened to places like that now.

"now i can study abroad" is a good way to look at it, i think.

i did; i went to ucla med school. i did my internships and residencies locally too. only after finishing university back home, though.

what were your favorite subjects? i know it can be annoying to find out you still have to go to school, but it's important. hopefully we'll have someone to keep you up to speed with your regular studies. it's only a couple hours a day though and no saturday cleaning, so nothing like home.

well, no one to take care of em any more, so... probably the same stuff that happened after the earthquake

[ GRIM ]

I dunno, PE? wasn't planning on being a doctor,
so I didn't have to worry about entrance exams. plus as long as I kept my grades up no one hassled me about it.

[ aka Gaju mostly just sailed through classes with middling grades, not particularly applying himself if the subject didn't personally interest him. ]

there a lot of kids at the school?
